"Grace be unto you and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ" (Philippians 1:2)
Welcome to St. Agnes' Anglican/Episcopal Church in Cowan, TN. You have a standing invitation to come and worship with us in the fellowship of Jesus Christ!
St. Agnes' Anglican/Episcopal Church - officially known as St. Agnes' Mission - is a small congregation of the Episcopal Diocese of Tennessee located in the town of Cowan, Tennessee.
This congregation is a faithful and constituent member of the one holy catholic and apostolic church that was "built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone" (Ephesians 2:20).
Our faith is centered on the core message of the gospel that is miniaturized in John 3:16: "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." We believe that "if you confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9)
Our ministry is built on the solid foundation of the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments. We believe that "all Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work" (2 Timothy 3:16).
The church welcomes you into the worship and fellowship of her Lord Jesus Christ. "Ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow-citizens with the saints and of the household of God" (Ephesians 2:19).
St. Agnes' is an orthodox, Bible-believing, Rite I Congregation that is firmly committed to "the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints" (Jude: 3).
